Happy National Story Telling Day!
Our Reception children have been reading "Giraffes Can't Dance", an important story for teaching children about accepting that everyone is different, embracing their own differences, and building confidence and self-esteem. It's always a firm favourite here at The Abbey.
Leading on from the story, we used our arms and hands to make our very own giraffe and used our fingertips to create the spots. We spoke about the differences we could see in each giraffe we made, such as some being smaller than others, and some having more spots.
